Welcome to Kitchen By Amy!
Hey there! I’m Amy Wilson, the heart and hands behind Kitchen By Amy. First off, I’m so glad you stopped by! If you’re anything like me, you know that the best memories are made in the kitchen. Recipes aren’t just instructions—they’re stories, a celebration of simple pleasures, and a way to gather with the people we love.
Here at Kitchen By Amy, my philosophy is simple: great food should be accessible, joyful, and a little adventurous. Over the years, my passion for food has led me down some pretty amazing paths—from winning the Home Cooks’ Rising Star Award in 2022, to being featured in “Modern Comfort Foods” Magazine, and even collaborating with local farmers’ markets for seasonal dinner series. I’ve had the privilege of teaching live workshops and connecting with fellow food lovers around the globe. All of these experiences have taught me one important thing: the most satisfying meals aren’t just about taste—they’re about sharing and discovery.
Looking back, what stands out most isn’t a trophy or a magazine cover, but the smiles around my family’s table. Every recipe I share here comes from real life—tested, tasted, and perfected with love. The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Food has an incredible power to bring us together, no matter where we are or what we’re celebrating.

How It All Started
My journey into the world of recipes began as a little girl, standing on a step stool next to my grandma as she whipped up her famous cinnamon rolls. I’ll never forget the way her kitchen smelled—warm, sweet, and inviting. It was there, kneading dough and sneaking tastes, that I first fell in love with cooking.
Years later, when I started my own family, I realized just how much those early kitchen moments meant to me. I wanted to create that same magic for my kids, and soon, friends and neighbors were asking for my recipes and tips. I started Kitchen By Amy as a way to document those family favorites and new creations—a place where memories, flavors, and inspiration come together.
What I love most about recipes is their ability to connect us. Every culture, every family, every occasion has its own flavors and traditions. Sharing my kitchen adventures became my way of giving back, of helping others find joy in simple, delicious meals and sweet treats. My hope is that Kitchen By Amy inspires you to try something new, make a mess, and savor every bite with your loved ones.
Why You Can Trust Me
With over 15 years of experience in home cooking and recipe development, I’ve seen (and tasted!) it all—from flop pancakes to show-stopping desserts. My background includes not just personal cooking, but also professional training in culinary workshops and a few intense (but fun) cooking competitions.
I take every recipe seriously—testing and refining until it’s just right. My process starts with thorough research and a little curiosity, followed by hands-on testing in my home kitchen. I believe in making things foolproof, so you can trust that every recipe is clear, reliable, and full of flavor. I’m picky about ingredients and presentation too—after all, we eat with our eyes first! All of the photos you see on Kitchen By Amy are taken by me, right here at home, with natural light and zero shortcuts.
Outside the kitchen, you’ll find me exploring local farmers’ markets, reading the latest food memoirs, and sometimes sneaking away for a yoga class (to balance out all the cake testing!). I’m always learning, whether it’s a new technique, a trending flavor, or a timeless classic passed down from a friend.
Most importantly, my commitment is to you—the reader. I want you to feel confident, inspired, and excited every time you try a Kitchen By Amy recipe. If it’s not easy to follow or absolutely delicious, it doesn’t make the cut. Your trust means everything to me, and I promise to keep bringing you the very best I can create.
